portraits

My portrait work is driven by a desire to look beyond surface appearance and into the psychological and emotional presence of the subject. I am interested in what sits beneath expression—the tensions, vulnerabilities, and complexities that often remain unseen.

The portraits are diverse in approach, with mood, lighting, and atmosphere shaped in response to each individual. Rather than imposing a fixed style, I work collaboratively, allowing the process to unfold around the subject’s personality, history, and emotional state.

This approach aligns with my wider practice, where photography becomes a space for reflection, recognition, and the exploration of inner experience.
